About Us

The formation of the foundation “Let us be USAWA” was a natural process, resulting from the need of the heart, common observations, and the lessons we learned from these observations. The name of the foundation is a combination of a few English words and the word “usawa” which is derived from the Swahili language and means equality.

For us, equality has a broad meaning: from equal access to medical care and broad-based assistance to all people in need, through spreading the idea of equal rights regardless of gender, age, religion and nationality, to promoting freedom of speech.

The Swahili language in the name is not a coincidence or a mere play on words. For many years, we have been travelling toAfrica, where we have met our friends and admired their culture, history, and traditions. We intended to create afoundation that serves others and spreads ouridea of:

„My little fight for a better world”

It is an organization that brings together and is open to like-minded people.

Our focus is on initiatives that are most important to us and our African friends. That’s why we help poor children and their families, refugees, cancer patients, people with disabilities, and talented youth. We also attempt to make the public aware of irreversible climate change. The aforementioned areas are just some of the many in which we operate.

History has repeatedly shown that even one ordinary person can have a great impact on the lives of others, especially vulnerable ones. The more of us, the better results we can achieve. We hope that we will gather people who will courageously share their stories, advice and initiatives.
